Do you have a decent grasp of natal astrology, but decoding transits remains your “final frontier”? Does news of an upcoming outer-planet transit cause you to break out in hives—or send you running for the bunker? 

Transits aren’t punishment. In fact, trying to ignore or run away from them is actually counterproductive to your personal evolution.

Your unique birth chart is a screenshot of the heavens at the moment your soul became incarnate. In a way, your chart is a blueprint of your potentials in this lifetime.

Transits, aka the angles moving planets in the sky make to the stationary position of planets at the time of your birth, are what activate the natal potentials and bring your chart to life.

But we can’t tell what anyone is doing with their latent gifts—or how they’re navigating challenges—solely from the natal chart. We need transits to show when and how these energetic “seeds” are likely to germinate. 

Of course, we have free will, as do other people—and then there’s unfathomable karma. By understanding which areas of life are being actuated by auspicious transits, we can make informed choices that support growth and help us optimize happiness.

It’s also hugely beneficial to “peek behind the curtain” to anticipate challenging periods so we can minimize suffering and be sure to learn those precious lessons.

From a soul-based perspective, we don’t just work with transits to make the “good” better and soften the blow of the “bad.” We seek to understand not only what is happening but why.
