That’s where synastry comes in. One of astrology's most revealing analytical techniques, synastry compares two charts to illuminate how and why people connect: the chemistry and the tension as well as the spiritual intentions behind both.
Before we can understand how two people interact, though, we need to see each one more clearly. Only by understanding their individual wiring can we begin to grasp what attracts them or pushes them apart, and whether they’re likely to thrive as partners, colleagues or family.
In this three-hour workshop, you will learn how to read the astrology between two people to understand what's happening beneath the surface of your most important relationships, whether by choice or circumstance.

A little about me …
I knew I’d “met my match” when I saw that his Taurus Sun was on my ASC and his full Scorpio Moon was on my descendant.
With a Taurus ascendant, four planets in Libra, Venus (out-of-bounds) in the 7th house and my Moon in the 5th, how could relationships not be an obsession? I’m hardly an outlier here. There’s a reason nearly every client ends up talking about it—even when they came to discuss career, money or soul purpose.
I’m equal parts idealistic and practical when it comes to counseling people about relationships. While I don’t believe that love can conquer all (despite repeated attempts), I am convinced that when we find a compatible person and use astrology—and often therapy—to become more self-aware and better communicators, we lay the foundation for a deeply satisfying partnership and a richer life.
This holds true for close friends, coworkers and, of course, family members. Those are trickier because breaking up with them can be even more dramatic and consequential than with a lover. Family ties are vacuum-packed in karma, shaping us for lifetimes.
My approach to synastry blends traditional comparative techniques with what I’ve learned from working with couples (and family members) over four decades. My greatest teachers, unsurprisingly, have been my own. In fact, I’m fond of saying, “If you don’t believe in astrology, look at family chart patterns.”
After countless synastry charts, I’m still blown away by the connections they reveal. Best of all: Even when people are ready to throw in the towel, a deep, sensitive look at the charts can unlock a compassion and hopefulness they couldn’t reach before.
