I was convinced I’d be a lifelong member of the Lonelyhearts Club until I accepted that the problem wasn’t with “them” but within me. When Covid struck, I summoned all my teachings—astrology, shamanism, Buddhism, depth psychology and especially quantum physics and the law of attraction—and went to work on myself. Instead of trying to meet someone, I stared down my insecurities and fear of rejection and rewrote my impossible list of criteria. I practiced radical acceptance, even of things I didn’t like. I became my own therapist, accountability buddy and role model as I endeavored to change my vibrational frequency, which is the key to attracting a spiritual partner. I cut cords from the past, did major-league forgiveness work, including myself, and practiced surrendering my ego to a wiser and more loving intelligence. (Still working on that one.) And later that year, I met my spiritual partner, and we’re hard at work at “happily ever after.”
