About Ruby Falconer

Ruby Falconer was introduced to astrology in 1973 by a friend who calculated her chart and then commented, “Moon in Scorpio: That’s a difficult position for a woman.” Intrigued and also a bit annoyed, Ruby was catapulted into her lifelong love affair with the art of astrology. By 1977, she was a professional astrologer, commencing a career that has spanned more than four decades and gifted her with the privilege of working with thousands of people as a chart interpreter, counselor and teacher.

Ruby’s early astrological influences include Dane Rudhyar, Liz Greene, Donna Cunningham, Steven Arroyo and Steven Forrest, who provided a rich psychological foundation for her astrological perspective. In the ’90s, Ruby discovered shamanism and studied with Michael Harner and other prominent shamanic teachers. In 2000, her shamanic path led to Linda Star Wolf and her organization, Venus Rising Association for Transformation.

In 2005, Ruby and Star Wolf created Shamanic Egyptian Astrology, a new astrological language that overlays the archetypes of ancient Egypt onto the traditional language of classical astrology. Together they wrote Shamanic Egyptian Astrology; Your Planetary Relationship to the Gods, published by Inner Traditions/Bear & Co.

Ruby is a Shamanic Breathwork Master Practitioner and a Shamanic Minister ordained through Venus Rising. She holds a doctorate in Shamanic Psychospiritual Studies through Venus Rising University.
