A Lovely Libra Full Moon

Last weekend, Venus aligned with the Sun in Aries, setting up an influential time for invention, reinvention, falling (back) in love and exploring the edges of your creativity.

And then on Sunday, they both aligned with healing Chiron, a comet that functions like a planet and draws our attention to what in the common parlance is called our wounds. Which to me sounds like a big ouch!

Yet we all have, shall we say, issues we’re contending with—some for a brief window of time while others seem to be lifelong themes. Chiron’s natal placement in our chart, by sign and house, suggests areas where we feel not ___ enough.

Chiron asks you to fill in that blank: Not what enough? Smart, happy, talented, rich, attractive, worthy, lovable, successful, assertive…? And now ask yourself this: Is that true or did you just bang into a limiting belief?

Also on Sunday, that trio formed an exact opposition to the moon in Libra. Anytime the moon comes into a 180º angle to the Sun, it’s a full moon, and we get one every month. But very rarely is the Sun conjoined by Venus and Chiron!

So what’s the takeaway here? Aries is the pioneering trailblazer. The Sun spends a month in Aries every year, activating the chart sectors where you have Aries natally. This is like the universe personally nudging you to get up off the couch and do something, probably something a little bold and possibly scary. Chances are, you know what that thing is.

Venus brings happiness, joy, love, creation… and reminds you of your core values. Chiron adds a healing dimension—an opportunity to release or call in the very thing that’s missing.

As our closest cosmic neighbor, Luna has a strong connection to Earth and life on it. Full moons bring things to a kind of tipping point. Where’s Libra in your chart? What fills your heart with affection and warmth? Whatever efforts you have been doing in these areas could come to a completion this weekend or over the next two weeks. Then the questions to ask are:

• Is this finished, am I satisfied or more work required?
• Is it time to move onto what’s next?
• And if so, what is next?

Whatever you do, try to make time to step outside tonight or Saturday or Sunday night and gaze skyward. Try to tune into any messages this glorious full moon has for you.

Let it re-inspire you, reinvigorate you. If you keep a journal, write it in or sketch. Light a candle, move your body. There’s no “right” or “wrong,” only—to paraphrase E.M. Forster—connection.
